Laboratory determination of the strength characteristics of rock cores obtained from field drilling operations.

At Landmass Geotechnical & Environmental Limited, we conducted comprehensive laboratory determination of the strength of rock cores retrieved from field boreholes.
This test program was designed to evaluate the compressive, tensile, and shear strength properties of rock samples to provide essential design data for foundation and slope stability analysis.

The laboratory process included careful specimen preparation, moisture content determination, and uniaxial compressive strength (UCS) testing using calibrated crushing equipment.
All analyses were performed under strict Quality Control and Quality Assurance (QA/QC) protocols in accordance with ASTM and BS standards.

The results formed a crucial part of the geotechnical report, supporting safe and economical foundation design decisions for our client’s project.
