Geophysical resistivity survey conducted to assess subsurface conditions and determine the suitability of foundation materials for a power generation facility in Nigeria.

Landmass Geotechnical & Environmental Limited carried out detailed resistivity survey investigations within the proposed site of a power generation facility in Nigeria.
The objective was to evaluate subsurface soil and rock conditions, identify groundwater levels, and assess the suitability of the site for heavy foundation loads associated with turbines, transformers, and ancillary structures.

Our field team deployed Vertical Electrical Sounding (VES) and 2D Electrical Resistivity Imaging (ERI) methods to map subsurface profiles.
Data obtained were interpreted using advanced geophysical software to delineate stratigraphic layers, locate weak zones, and provide design recommendations for foundation optimization.

The results provided the client with reliable geotechnical input for structural and civil design works, ensuring long-term stability and performance of the power facility.
